In this role you will have:
* Statewide leadership of the bridge and tunnel maintenance program, shaping how asset strategies, risk and funding are translated into prioritised, integrated programs across NSW
* Stewardship of safety, resilience and whole‐of‐life performance for bridge and tunnel assets through risk‐based program development and clear program intent
* Accountability for program integration and consistency, working within a new program prioritisation & integration model to ensure bridge and tunnel programs are clearly defined, prioritised and ready for delivery through established delivery partners
Reporting to the Director, Program Prioritisation and Integration, the Senior Manager, Bridge & Tunnel Programs is responsible for the statewide stewardship and integration of bridge and tunnel maintenance programs across NSW.
This role leads the development, prioritisation and integration of multi‐year programs that balance safety, resilience, asset performance and customer outcomes, and ensures that bridge and tunnel investments are clearly defined, risk‐based and ready for delivery through established delivery partners.
You will:
* Lead the development of statewide, risk‐based bridge and tunnel maintenance programs
* Translate long‐term asset strategies into prioritised, integrated forward programs
* Own the program briefs, prioritisation logic and pipeline inputs for bridge and tunnel assets
* Partner with Program Integration & Pipeline to ensure visibility, sequencing and readiness
* Work with internal teams and program delivery partners to support effective handover and delivery enablement
* Embed safety, resilience, climate risk and asset acceptance requirements early
This is a change leadership role where you will be driving greater consistency across a new statewide operating model.
You are a senior infrastructure leader with deep experience in bridge and tunnel asset management, who understands how to lead through influence in complex, multi‐party environments.
You bring strong asset management discipline, risk‐based thinking and the ability to integrate strategy, data and delivery considerations into clear, actionable programs. You are comfortable working across organisational boundaries, shaping outcomes without direct delivery control, and providing confident advice to senior executives.
This role will suit a proven senior leader who is motivated by system‐level impact and long‐term public value. You bring the credibility and discipline to strengthen asset management practice, program integration and decision clarity at scale, and the leadership maturity to influence outcomes across organisational boundaries to improve safety, resilience and network performance for the people of NSW.
