Our Non‑Financial Risk Management (NFR) team, a second line of defence in the CRO function, develops and manages the NFR framework. The Technology Risk Management (TRM) team specialises in technology, cyber and data risks, ensuring they are identified, assessed and managed effectively.
Responsibilities
* Develop and own the 2LOD technology risk management plan that aligns with ING Australia’s goals, risk appetite and regulatory obligations.
* Provide effective independent challenge to the 1LOD on the design and effectiveness of information risk controls around IT, cyber risk, data risk and IT resilience.
* Advise senior management on risk‑based decision‑making related to technology, data and digital transformation.
* Ensure consistent application of risk taxonomy, methodologies and control standards.
* Provide expert advice and assurance on the implementation of the Non‑financial Risk Management framework, and associated policies, procedures and control standards, focusing on technology risks.
* Deliver clear, forward‑looking information risk insights to the Head of NFR Australia, CRO Australia and local risk and governance committees.
Qualifications
* Thought leadership and extensive experience in technology risk (IT, cyber and data risk).
* Awareness of current industry technology threats, trends and issues.
* Suitable qualifications: CISA or similar.
* Expert knowledge of applicable regulations and supervisory expectations for technology risks (including APRA, DORA and ideally ECB).
* Confidence and experience building trusted senior stakeholder partnerships across 1LOD & 2LOD, balancing independent challenge with outcome‑driven collaboration.
* Experience preparing and presenting quality reporting aligned to governance and board expectations.
* Proven leadership capability and team‑building skills.
