Glen Parker Bicycles is a well-established bicycle retailer and service centre based in Nedlands, WA, known for providing high-performance bikes, professional repairs, and personalised cycling advice.

As an Electronic Instrument Trades Worker at Glen Parker Bicycles, you will be responsible for maintaining, testing, and repairing electronic systems in bikes and workshop equipment to ensure precision performance. This position requires strong diagnostic skills and a proactive approach to safety and technical standards.


Responsibilities and Tasks

* Install, calibrate, and maintain electronic components used in high-end bicycles, including e-bike systems, sensors, and diagnostic tools.
* Troubleshoot and repair electronic faults in electric and performance bicycles, such as motor issues, battery problems, and onboard computer malfunctions.
* Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of workshop electronic tools and diagnostic equipment to ensure accurate service delivery.
* Support the integration of new electronic technologies into the workshop, ensuring mechanics are trained and tools are effectively implemented.
* Ensure all electronic systems used in servicing and sales meet safety and regulatory compliance standards, especially concerning lithium battery handling.
* Maintain accurate service records, diagnostic logs, and calibration documentation for customer repairs and internal audits.
* Liaise with service technicians and customers to communicate technical findings and provide electronic system advice.
* Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in e-bike technologies, diagnostic software, and workshop electronic equipment.


Qualifications and Skills

* Relevant qualification.
* Minimum 1 year experience as an Electronic Instrument Trades Worker.
* Strong technical knowledge of electronic systems in automotive, mechanical, or cycling-related environments.
* Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electronic systems efficiently.
* Effective communication skills to collaborate with service staff and engage with customers confidently.


Salary

The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $75,000 - $85,000 plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
