RESPONSIBILITIES
· Supervise on-site operations to ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, and schedules.
· Lead and manage site personnel, including tradespeople, labourers, and subcontractors.
· Coordinate daily tasks and assign duties to ensure workflow is efficient and aligned with project timelines.
· Monitor quality control to ensure all work meets required standards and regulations.
· Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and always enforce site safety rules.
· Liaise with project managers, directors, and contractors to communicate progress, address issues, and resolve conflicts.
· Inspect and report on work progress, delays, and site conditions regularly to management.
· Manage site materials and equipment, including ordering supplies and ensuring proper storage and usage.
· Read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications, and provide guidance to workers accordingly.
· Conduct site inductions and toolbox talks, promoting safety and awareness among the team.
· Maintain accurate records, including timesheets, incident reports, deliveries, and site diaries.
· Identify potential issues or delays early and proactively work to mitigate risks.
· Delegate tasks on a daily / weekly basis
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE
· Extensive Commercial Construction Background: A minimum of 5 years' hands-on experience in the commercial construction industry.
·Exceptional Time Management: Proficient time management skills to ensure efficient project execution.
·Negotiation and Relationship Expertise: Strong abilities in negotiation and the establishment of meaningful professional relationships.
·Outstanding Communication and Leadership: Excellent verbal and written communication skills coupled with strong leadership capabilities.
·Proven Problem-Solving Aptitude: Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve complex challenges effectively.
