With a strong project pipeline and long-term investment strategy, they are expanding their commercial leadership capability to support complex project delivery and asset growth.
The Opportunity
Our Client is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Manager to lead commercial strategy, contract negotiations and risk management across major infrastructure and renewable energy projects. This role will play a critical part from late-stage development through construction and into operations, with a strong focus on Balance of Plant (BoP) contracting.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead commercial strategy across large-scale infrastructure and renewable energy projects
* Manage and negotiate complex contracts
* Own commercial risk assessment, mitigation strategies and contractual governance
* Support tendering processes, bid evaluations and commercial approvals
* Lead contract negotiations with Tier 1 contractors and key delivery partners
* Provide commercial input through project development, construction and handover
* Manage variations, claims, disputes and commercial reporting
* Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and in line with commercial objectives
Qualifications
* Degree in Commerce, Law, Engineering, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
* Postgraduate or legal qualifications advantageous but not essential
* Strong Balance of Plant (BoP) contracting experience is essential
* Demonstrated success negotiating high-value, complex contracts
* Strong understanding of Australian construction and energy contracting frameworks
* Commercially astute with excellent risk management capability
* Confident engaging with senior internal and external stakeholders
