We currently have an exciting opportunity for a **Team Lead Afternoon** to join our Chilled Operations Team. Reporting into the Production Lead, the Team Lead will ensure there is adequate support for their relevant operations departments.
To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience working in a leadership role within the operations industry, ideally within Food Manufacturing.
**Your responsibilities will include**:
- Management and support of the relevant operations team at our Chilled site, from rostering, performance management, training and other functional requirements.
- Support the delivery of year-on-year objectives for safety, quality, cost, reliability and delivery aligned with the overall One Operations Strategy.
- Working with direction from the Production Lead to support the effective operation of the relevant production area by dealing with the day-to-day issues that arise.
- Aligning with the Site Strategies to ensure that support is given to the delivery of each initiatives including leadership philosophies.
- Support the roll out plans for safety, quality, and operational excellence, training, auditing, delivery and cost.
- Support the NPD team with the scoping phase and transition of products through the stage gate process into Operations.
- Ensure that clear and documented communications are reported back to the Production Lead in a timely fashion.
- Support Operational Excellence initiatives across production area.
**You will have**:
- Existing knowledge of & desire to learn the operational methodologies & tools
- Exceptional people coaching and development skills
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to build effective working relationships and positively influence internal operators
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Ability to deliver change independently & through teamwork
- Understanding of the quality assurance principles, hygiene and cleanliness standards required when performing work in a food-manufacturing environment
- Willingness to develop knowledge through training & development opportunities
