About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and committed Early Childhood Educator/Learning Enhancement Assistant to join our College community.
Reporting to the Head of Early Learning Centre (ELC) this newly established position is offered for a fixed term commencing in Term 3, 2025 until the end of the 2026 College year.
The Early Childhood Educator/Learning Enhancement Assistant will work with children between the ages of 3 and 5 in the ELC, assisting students, generally in the classroom, with learning difficulties and disabilities. The position calls for a person who values and respects young children and their education and care, through the provision of sound professional practice.
The Early Childhood Educator/Learning Enhancement Assistant is expected to provide leadership and positive role modelling for the children, whilst working as a member of a co-operative team.
Applicants must be suitably qualified, and experienced, with the ability to create a high quality and developmentally appropriate learning environment.
To be successful in this opportunity you will require:
* Diploma or Bachelor of Early Childhood and an ability to demonstrate the associated competencies.
* Current Victorian Working with Children Check or current VIT Registration.
* Previous experience in a learning support role (highly regarded but not essential).
* Outstanding presentation, interpersonal and communication skills.
* Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
* A working knowledge of MS Office 365
* Current First Aid (HLTAID012), Anaphylaxis and Asthma qualifications.
* Willingness to uphold the ethos and values of the College.
