NetSuite Functional Consultant / Designer (Contract – 3 Months)

Overview
We are looking for a NetSuite Functional Consultant / Designer to support a wholesale distribution business that recently implemented NetSuite. The current implementation requires optimisation and course correction, and we need someone who can review the existing setup, recommend improvements, and design better workflows aligned with NetSuite best practices.
This role will work closely with business stakeholders to review current processes, identify gaps, and help redesign system configurations across inventory and invoicing processes.
The business already has NetSuite implementation partners handling technical changes, so this role focuses on solution design, functional guidance, and process improvement rather than heavy technical implementation.
Key Responsibilities
* Review the current NetSuite setup and identify areas for improvement.
* Provide functional guidance and best practice recommendations for system usage.
* Assist with solution design and process improvements across:
* Inventory management
* Order processing
* Work with stakeholders across operations and finance to understand current workflows and pain points.
* Help redesign processes and configurations to better align with NetSuite best practices.
* Document requirements and recommended changes for internal teams and implementation partners.
* Support course correction of the existing implementation without major architectural changes.
* Assist internal teams in optimising how NetSuite supports the business operations.
Required Experience
* Experience working with NetSuite as a Functional Consultant, Administrator, or Solution Designer.
* Solid understanding of NetSuite core modules, particularly:
* Inventory management
* Order management
* Invoicing / finance processes
* Experience working with distribution, wholesale, or inventory-based businesses.
* Ability to translate business needs into practical system designs.
* Experience working with multiple stakeholders across business teams.
Nice to Have
* NetSuite Administrator or Consultant certification.
* Experience supporting post-implementation optimisation projects.
* Exposure to wholesale distribution or supply chain businesses.
Working Arrangement
* Fully remote role (must be based in Australia)
* 3-month contract with possible extension.
