The role delivers comprehensive geriatric management across multiple inpatient settings, including the Acute Care of the Elderly (ACE) ward, the Geriatric Evaluation and Management (GEM) ward, and the Interim Care Ward, all operating within an acute geriatrics service model.Key duties and responsibilitiesConsultant-level inpatient management of older adults admitted under Geriatric Medicine at PRH, ensuring high quality, evidence-based care across all geriatric service areas.Specialist geriatric expertise and advisory support to medical colleagues within PRH, across other specialties, and to clinicians in geographically isolated centres throughout the Northern Territory.
