About the Role
This position presents an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of the transformation and reform of Queensland's court services. Working closely with the judiciary will enhance your knowledge of the legal system and provide a rewarding experience in contributing to the delivery of justice in Queensland.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of Court Services Queensland registries;
* Deliver frontline services to court users, responding to their needs in a trauma-aware and compassionate manner;
* Maintain security, care, and control of jurors; unlock and prepare courtrooms for scheduled sittings;
* Administer oaths and affirmations to jurors, witnesses, and interpreters;
* Recognise and act on risks presented by Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence (DFSV);
* Skilfully prepare, process, and manage administrative and financial documents;
* Provide technical and administrative support to Magistrates and procedural advice to court users;
* Cultivate relationships with stakeholders, including judiciary members and government agencies;
* Use and update relevant databases and digital tools to ensure data integrity;
* Communicate information about court services, rules, practices, and procedures to the public;
* Develop skills, maintain knowledge, and stay motivated when managing challenging tasks;
* Collaborate with the team to identify and progress service improvements;
* Fulfill statutory duties as required, ensuring compliance with legal obligations.
