Locomotive Driver – Permanent full‐time position at the Dry Creek depot, Adelaide, South Australia.
Responsibilities
* Operate locomotives (mainline, shunting, marshalling) safely and efficiently.
* Examine and certify trains for departure.
* Adhere to Aurizon's safety and operational standards and procedures.
* Maintain a high level of on‐time running.
* Prepare and conduct brake testing on locomotives.
* Provide high‐quality customer service to meet business objectives.
Qualifications
* Strong commitment to safety; familiarity with Aurizon's safety strategy.
* Availability to work a 24/7 shift roster.
* Experience with ARTC Code of Practice & Safe Working systems (SA, WA, VIC, NT) is advantageous.
* Experience operating air brake.
* Extensive freight and/or heavy haulage locomotive driving experience.
* Certificate IV in Rail Operations.
* Unrestricted current driver's licence.
* Successfully pass pre‐employment checks, including driving history, reference checks and CAT1 Rail medical.
