We're seeking an experienced **Finance Assistant** to join our team of courageous multi-disciplinary professionals, dedicated to extraordinary care for people with a disability at every stage of life.
**Your role**
- This is a **full time, 3-month contract** position located at our corporate Bassendean and Bentley offices. This role is generalist in nature, reporting to the Finance Manager. Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing confidential, administrative and financial support to the Finance Team and Finance Manager, including financial transactional entries, daily bank reconciliations, day-to-day management of corporate credit card transactions, monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations, preparing BAS and any ABS returns in line with due dates, ready for submission.
- Accounts Payable duties such as checking invoices for accuracy against the relevant purchase order or contract, verify expense reports and query invoice items, code invoices to the relevant cost centre and enter invoices into the accounts payable system.
- Other administration and finance supporting tasks as required.
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar position, or have completed a Diploma of Accounting, Certificate IV in Business Administration, or similar.
- Ideally have previous experience in the not-for-profit and/or disability support sector under the NDIS framework.
- Advanced mathematical competency, meticulous attention to detail and the ability to spot errors.
- Discretion in handling confidential or sensitive financial data.
- The ability to meet strict reporting deadlines.
- Familiarity with relevant financial regulations.
- Be able to demonstrate excellent team-work skills.
- Ability to adapt to a diverse set of tasks, learn procedures quickly, and carry out correctly.
- High attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of interpersonal skills.
- Data analysis skills with the ability to find solutions to problems and work with people to resolve.
