About the Role
The National Relations and Policy Directorate develops and delivers high-quality strategic policy advice to support executive, Chief Executive and Ministerial participation in intergovernmental matters and forums. Our aim is to positively impact the national agenda, relevant state government portfolios, strategic policy and the people we work with, to contribute to better outcomes for South Australian children and young people, and achieve the department's ambition to create a world-class education system. The Policy and Project Lead, Intergovernmental Relations and Policy is responsible for leading the design, coordination, and management of strategic policy projects and reforms for the Department for Education. The role builds strong relationships with departmental colleagues and external stakeholders, provides expert policy advice, and leads senior staff and multidisciplinary teams. It also models ethical conduct, supports a positive performance culture, and oversees resource allocation on project deliverables within the directorate.
Qualifications
Essential: Nil
Desirable: An appropriate, relevant tertiary qualification in law, economics, evaluation, public policy, early childhood or education, or equivalent experience.
Special Conditions
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years. Remuneration
ASO8 $125,649 – 130,392 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%) and leave loading
