Job Title: Medical Equipment Coordinator
Royal Australasian College of Surgeons leads surgical standards, professionalism and education in Australia and New Zealand.
The college is a not-for-profit organisation representing over 8600 surgeons and 1300 surgical trainees.
RACS supports healthcare and surgical education in the Asia-Pacific region and funds surgical research. There are nine surgical specialties: Cardiothoracic Surgery, General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Orthopaedic Surgery, Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, Paediatric Surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Urology and Vascular Surgery.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Coordinating medical equipment, drugs and consumables for volunteer surgical teams in the Indo-Pacific region.
2. Managing customs requirements for export/import and ensuring compliance with Victorian legislative requirements.
3. Procuring drugs and poisons required for RACS Global Health volunteer deployments.
4. Ensuring purchase orders, invoicing and remittances align with RACS procurement and finance policies.
5. Developing policies and procedures for RACS GH Medical Equipment.

This role plays a key part in planning and deploying volunteer surgical teams for RACS Global Health Program.
It involves developing collaborative relationships with colleagues, suppliers and clinical partners.
The ideal candidate will have experience in perioperative nursing, anaesthetics and PACU nursing.
They should also possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
