Sutherland Shire Council is seeking a motivated, professional Visitor Services Assistant to provide high-quality customer service, support events and exhibitions, and assist with day-to-day venue operations at Hazelhurst Arts Centre. Duties include:
* Welcoming visitors and responding to enquiries in person, by phone and email
* Processing course enrolments, event bookings, merchandise and artwork sales
* Assisting with special events and exhibition openings
* Supporting volunteers working at the Gallery Desk and retail shop
* Invigilating exhibitions and helping maintain a safe, welcoming venue
* Completing administration tasks, database updates and daily financial reconciliation
About You
You are community-minded, enthusiastic, and love helping people. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy being part of a collaborative team. You value the arts, cultural connection and contributing to a vibrant public space.
You will bring
* Experience in customer service within hospitality, arts, performance or similar settings
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
* Ability to stay calm under pressure and work as part of a supportive team
* Confidence using booking systems and general software applications
* Studies underway or completed in Arts or Business
