We're currently looking for plant operators to work in both our Parks and Bushland Conservation and Sports Turf teams, offering a variety of hands‐on roles that cater to different skill sets and interests. Your Role as a Plant Operator
Whether you enjoy protecting natural landscapes or take pride in maintaining high‐quality sporting fields, this is a hands‐on opportunity to be part of a team that genuinely makes a difference.
As a Plant Operator, you'll be on the frontline of maintaining our outdoor spaces. You'll operate horticultural plant and equipment, apply chemicals safely where required, and assist with the daily upkeep of parks, gardens, bushland, and sports facilities.
Your work will help ensure our green spaces are clean, safe, and inviting for residents and visitors to enjoy — whether they're walking the dog, playing sport, or spending time with family.
Who We're Looking For
* A valid Class MR driver's licence (or willingness to obtain one within 3 months) and a NSW WHS General Induction Card (White card) are essential.
* Experience in a similar role, with skills in operating tractors, ride‐on mowers, wood‐chippers as well as small plant equipment such as brush cutters, blowers and edgers.
* Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety practises.
* A solid understanding of WHS and safe working methods.
Benefits
* Package: $64,804 - $68,691 gross p.a. plus 12% superannuation. Salary will be determined based on the skills and experience of successful candidates.
* Hours of work: Permanent Full Time 38 hours per week with a 9 day fortnight.
