**Job Description**:
**About the role**
As a member of the Palletised Express team, your primary responsibility will be to manage, capture, analyse and forecast the outbound linehaul demand for Melbourne. You will use this information to drive and support the operational workforce in achieving agreed performance.
As the **Linehaul Demand Planner.**, you will work closely with a large and inclusive team of technical experts focused on success.
To be successful in this role, it is a requirement to be able to work in a team environment. You will need to be someone who is able to work autonomously and to tight deadlines and work comfortably in a continuous improvement work environment.
**Primary Duties & Responsibilities**
- Run DWR (demand weight report) from noon until 4pm and adjust demand accordingly. Ensure necessary adjustments are made with the data points to align volume and linehaul capacity allocations.
- Liaise with fleet room and adjust demand based on variance to DWR
- Check for LH equipment on site at 2pm
- chase up missing equipment and check supplied equipment for quality.
- Review previous day booked pick-up volume vs actual pick-up volume and report back significant discrepancies so that customers can be notified to correct.
- Review pick-up bookings over 10t and consider alternative cost effective LH arrangements.
- Work closely with the Account Management team to improve customer accuracy in terms of My Toll booking that ultimately feed into the daily planning reporting tool.
- Closely monitor customer collection times and work with the PUD team to improve the timing of freight arriving into the depot to enable earlier linehaul departures and opportunities for equipment optimisation.
- Pre plan with the VIC Management team to ensure activity levels with volumes are appropriately managed (including peak planning).

- ** Available to work 11am to 7.30 pm, Monday to Friday**:
- Previous experience within the transport or courier industry
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication skills - verbal and written abilities
- Intermediate level MSOffice products such as Teams, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Suitable for a big picture thinker but also someone who can be hands on in delivering fantastic outcomes
