Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain Caterpillar applications across the software development lifecycle.
* Write clean, maintainable, well‐tested secure code aligned to specifications.
* Deliver end‐to‐end features within a Scrum team, balancing technical excellence and pragmatic trade‐offs.
* Contribute to solution design, architecture and technical documentation.
* Review code and designs, provide constructive feedback to drive continuous improvement.
* Own technical delivery for initiatives, including estimation, testing and release.
* Collaborate with product, engineering and Quality Engineering stakeholders.
* Troubleshoot production/non‐production issues, perform root‐cause analysis and implement fixes.
* Provide technical guidance, mentoring and support hiring & career progression activities.
Experience and Skills
* 7+ years of commercial development experience.
* Experience implementing microservices, distributed architecture, modern database design and cloud‐based web applications.
* Proficiency in Java, Spring, Spring Boot and RESTful APIs.
* Knowledge of build, test and dependency management tools.
* Experience with modern security principles and technologies.
* Strong analytical, design and problem‐solving skills.
* Effective time management and prioritization.
* Willingness to learn, mentor and provide constructive feedback.
* Experience in Python is a plus.

Additional Information
Location: Brisbane, Queensland – onsite five days a week.
