Behind the scenes, our finance team plays a crucial role in keeping the agency running smoothly — and we're looking for a detail-driven Accounts Payable Officer to help keep our finance engine humming.
About the Role
As our Accounts Payable Officer, you'll play an important role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the agency. Working closely with our Finance team you'll manage supplier invoices, payments and reconciliations across the business while maintaining organised and accurate records. You'll also work with internal teams and suppliers to resolve queries and ensure everything runs smoothly.
This role is perfect for someone early in their finance career who is obsessed with the details, enjoys working with numbers and systems, and wants to learn and grow within a fast-paced creative agency environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Process and manage accounts payable including invoice coding, approvals and posting
* Prepare and assist with weekly and monthly supplier payment runs
* Ensure invoices are correctly matched to purchase orders, job codes and contracts
* Maintain organised and accurate AP records and documentation
* Perform supplier statement reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
* Respond to supplier queries and liaise with internal teams to resolve coding or approval issues
* Support month-end finance processes including accruals and reporting
* Assist with BAS preparation and finance reporting where required
* Help identify opportunities to improve AP processes and systems
About You
* 1–3 years' experience in an accounts payable or finance support role (or someone early in their finance career)
* Strong attention to detail — you genuinely enjoy getting things right
* Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
* Comfortable working with numbers, systems and spreadsheets
* Confident communicator who can liaise with suppliers and internal teams
* Proactive, reliable and eager to learn
* Bonus points if you have experience with Xero, Scoro or similar finance systems, or have worked in a professional services or agency environment.
