Grounds and Building Maintenance
This role involves maintaining the school grounds ensuring they are safe clean and well-presented performing general maintenance tasks on the school buildings.
* Maintaining gardens and lawns performs minor repairs and completes general maintenance tasks as needed.
* Liaising with other trades to ensure the school is well-maintained.
Daily Duties
* Sweeping/blowing of paths and outdoor areas keeping grounds neat and tidy.
* Checking/actioning the maintenance tasks.
Regular Tasks
* Mowing lawns trimming edges pruning trees shrubs and hedges weeding and maintaining garden beds and landscaped areas.
* Basic repairs to outdoor surfaces structures equipment and general maintenance e.g. basic carpentry painting plumbing tasks etc.
* Identifying and addressing any hazards around the grounds.
* Organising/liaising with contractors/suppliers and completing purchase orders as required.
* Assisting with manual handling tasks deliveries moving furniture setting up school events etc.
* Attending training when required.
