The Role
Senior Corporate Risk Officer is responsible for coordinating Corporate Governance Division and Divisional Head of Governance.
With a focus on a high level of customer service, the role will contribute to driving operational efficiencies and accuracy.
Core responsibilities will include contributing to Business Continuity Planning, Risk Management, and Insurance administration.
Key Responsibilities
Business Continuity Planning (BCP): Coordinate creation, testing, and maintenance of Council's BCP documentation and registers.
Maintain and oversee the enterprise risk register, ensuring accurate updates and supporting preparation of risk reports and dashboards.
Coordinate internal and external audit activities, including tracking audit recommendations and supporting departments with documentation and responses.
Manage Council's insurance administration, including maintaining insurance records and leading the annual renewal process with LGRS.
Support governance and compliance functions, including preparing governance reports, managing policy document control, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills & Competencies
Demonstrated experience in providing administrative or governance support within a local government or similar regulatory environment.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise workloads, and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
Attendance at after-hours Council and Committee meetings will be required from time to time.
