The Inclusion Co-ordinator will report to an Assistant Principal and Leading Teacher Inclusion and liaise closely with the other Inclusion Co-ordinator and Inclusion staff.
No additional attendance during school holidays is required for this position.
Responsibilities
The Inclusion Co-ordinator is required to:
9. Co-ordinate the provision of education support services for Inclusion students.
10. Design and implement, with the support and assistance of teaching and ES staff, strategies to support student learning.
11. Manage the Disability Inclusion Facilitator Service (DIFS) Portal.
12. Work with appropriate staff to complete Disability Inclusion Profile (DIP) applications.
13. Liaise with DE regional support staff, including SSS and visiting teachers, as required.
14. Design and document IEP’s and ensure these are communicated to applicable staff.
15. Co-ordinate the Learning Inclusion Aide team of staff, including rosters, recruitment, training etc.
16. Convene Student Support Group (SSG) meetings each term for each student in the program, as applicable.
17. Develop and implement learning support programs, based on data & research.
18. Support significant student transitions, such as entry into school, movement between year levels and pathways beyond Ballarat High School.
19. Additional duties as negotiated with the relevant Assistant Principals.
20. Undertake ongoing professional development and participate in a performance development process.
