About Us: VIV Enterprises Pty Ltd operates the restaurant ‘NOA,’ located in the vibrant suburb of Edge Hill, Cairns.

Known for delivering exceptional dining experiences, we are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen operations and ensure the highest standards of food quality, creativity, and consistency. Role Overview: As the Head Chef at NOA, you will oversee all kitchen operations, manage culinary staff, and ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality dishes.

This role requires strong leadership, creativity, and operational expertise to maintain efficiency, food safety, and menu innovation. Key Responsibilities: Kitchen Leadership:

Lead, train, and supervise the kitchen team to maintain high culinary standards. Manage kitchen rosters and workflow to ensure efficient service. Conduct daily kitchen briefings and maintain strong communication with staff.

Menu Development: Design and develop creative menus aligned with the restaurant’s concept. Introduce seasonal specials and innovative dishes.

Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and quality. Kitchen Operations: Oversee food preparation, cooking, and plating during service.

Ensure kitchen cleanliness and organization in accordance with health regulations. Monitor stock levels and coordinate ordering with suppliers. Food Safety & Compliance:

Ensure compliance with food safety standards and health regulations. Maintain proper food storage and hygiene practices. Implement safe kitchen procedures.

Financial Management: Monitor food costs and minimize waste. Manage kitchen inventory and maintain cost-effective purchasing.

Assist in budgeting and achieving profitability targets. Qualifications and Skills: Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent (mandatory).

Minimum of 1 year of full-time relevant experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen. Strong leadership and kitchen management skills. Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and organizational skills. Job Details:

Employment Type: Full-time Salary: $85,000 per year Schedule:

8-hour shifts (day, afternoon, and evening) Supplementary Pay: Performance-based bonuses
