This multi-year project is critical to the ongoing strategic growth of the organisation and will underpin sound governance and efficiency to help manage this upcoming growth phase.
About Your New Role
As the Finance Application Specialist, you will be the conduit between finance and IT. This highly visible role will work entirely on the transformation program to ensure the successful and timely delivery of a new ERP solution for the group.
Working as part of the transformation team, you will have tangible experience performing the following tasks with an organisation that has undergone significant change and / or transformation.
This role is not a project manager and not a BAU support role. It is 100% focused on implementations, optimisation, and sustainable system outcomes.
Responsibilities
* Act as the Finance design authority for ERP and finance technology solutions
* Define Finance system, data, reporting, and control requirements across the Group
* Lead Finance input into ERP implementations, upgrades, and enhancements
* Be hands-on with system configuration and setup
* Represent Finance in design workshops, solution walkthroughs, and architecture discussions
* Lead Finance-side UAT, data migration validation, and go-live readiness
* Ensure systems support accounting standards, controls, auditability, and end-to-end processes
* Drive system optimisation to reduce manual work, improve data quality, and strengthen controls
* Act as the key Finance liaison with Technology, PMO, vendors, and senior stakeholders
* Support change, adoption, and capability uplift across Finance
About You
* You are an Accountant by trade, having since moved into a Systems or IT role where you leverage your knowledge of ERP platforms and accounting workflows.
* You bring lived experience with Finance transformation and ERP implementations within complex, multi-entity environments.
* Strong experience with ERP and finance system implementations, working with ERP that have manufacturing / supply chain modules (SAP, Netsuite, Infor, Pronto, D365 ideally).
* Proven knowledge of financial reporting, governance and controls.
Interpersonally, you are a strong communicator with the ability to show empathy, influence and devise solutions where you have earned the trust and confidence of your stakeholders by operating with transparency, integrity and show ownership of your tasks.
