Our Financial Services team supports the Group's strategy by providing specialist advice, support, and services in finance, audit, treasury, property, procurement, climate strategy, and investor relations. The team partners with all areas of CommBank to drive business insights and enable data-driven decisions across regulatory reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and implement new business and regulatory requirements.
* Utilize tools such as SQL, Ab Initio, Tableau, and Alteryx to analyze issues in the regulatory reporting process.
* Perform data analysis and visualization of large datasets.
* Drive continuous improvements to reporting processes and solutions.
* Lead the use of analytic techniques to drive business insights and enable data-driven decisions across regulatory reporting.
* Champion productivity and process improvement across the team, fostering collaboration, coaching, and recognition.
* Develop and maintain strong stakeholder engagement by collaborating with business units.
* Work with Regulatory Reporting, technology, and business stakeholders to resolve defects and identify enhancements.
* Promote a high-performance culture and provide excellent customer service.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in data analysis, insights, and analytics within financial services.
* Expertise in financial and regulatory reporting, with a strong emphasis on Group reporting.
* Advanced analytical skills to interpret and evaluate complex data and business processes.
* Proficiency in BI tools, such as Tableau, is desirable and experience with tools like Alteryx is highly regarded.
* A natural curiosity and drive to leverage data for identifying new opportunities and making impactful business decisions.
* Solid numeracy and accounting skills with a deep understanding of financial products.
* Customer-focused and outcome-driven, fostering a culture that values customer satisfaction.
* Ability to understand business drivers and produce valuable business insights and analysis.
* Experience with RDBMS (Teradata, Oracle, MS SQL Server) and proficiency in SQL or other data integration/ETL tools.
