The role of the Glasshouse Systems Lead is to plan and manage glasshouse logistics and deliver events according to the crop production schedule. The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing facility automation, irrigation activities, water systems and delivering outcomes for climate control, crop health and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plan and manage glasshouse logistics to ensure efficient crop production.
2. Oversee facility automation, irrigation activities, water systems and climate control to maintain optimal crop health and productivity.
3. Deliver events according to the crop production schedule, ensuring timely completion and quality outcomes.
4. Collaborate with the Cultivation Manager to review cropping climate data and adjust plans as needed.
5. Liaise with engineering teams to troubleshoot and repair glasshouse systems assets.
6. Work closely with the cultivation team to coordinate table logistics and manage inventory levels.
7. Maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors and service providers to improve overall business performance.
8. Identify opportunities for cost reduction, material flow improvement and business development pertaining to yield and crop performance.
9. Accountable for operation spending, budget management and refinement.
10. Initiate and participate in actions to improve processes and performance of operations, including working with other facility and functional representatives.
11. Provide project management support for facility operations and corporate initiatives.
