About the Role
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Senior Medical Secretary / Receptionist to join our busy vascular specialist practice. This is a part-time role (3 days per week), with options to work Monday–Wednesday or Wednesday–Friday, or a full-time position if preferred.
As part of our well-established, patient-focused team, you will provide high-quality administrative support to a highly regarded vascular surgeon, ensuring the smooth running of daily operations and an exceptional patient experience.
This is an essential role for an experienced, professional candidate capable of working autonomously while managing complex clinical and administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage front-desk reception with professionalism and warmth
* Coordinate patient appointments, follow-ups, and referrals
* Surgical scheduling and patient coordination
* Respond to calls and enquiries with care and confidentiality
* Process patient billing (Medicare, DVA, Health Funds, Eclipse)
* Maintain accurate patient records and assist with general admin tasks
* Liaise with hospitals, general practices, imaging centres, and theatre teams

Skills and Experience Required
* Exceptional attention to detail, particularly in documentation and billing accuracy.
* Prior experience in a specialist medical practice is essential.
* High level of autonomy and accuracy.
* Proficiency inShexie, Bluechip, Genie, or similar software.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work autonomously and take initiative in a clinical environment.
* A team player with a calm, patient-focused approach.
