About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Storeperson with strong computing and inventory management skills to join our team. This is a hands-on role that combines stock control, purchasing, and workshop support. You'll ensure the right parts and materials are available when needed, while keeping our inventory records accurate and up to date.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and maintain inventory using our computer-based stock control system
* Accurately record all incoming and outgoing materials, tools, and parts
* Source and purchase supplies, equipment, and marine-specific components
* Build strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement
* Prepare and issue materials to the workshop team for ongoing projects
* Conduct regular stocktakes and reconcile inventory records
* Maintain a safe, organised, and efficient store area
About You
* Previous storeperson experience, ideally but not necessarily in the marine, boat building, or repair industry
* Proficient in computer-based stock management systems and Microsoft Excel
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
* Experience in purchasing and supplier coordination
* Knowledge of marine parts, fittings, and materials (advantageous)
* Current forklift licence or willingness to obtain one
