TECHNICAL SALES REP ANNUAL SALARY $90,000 - $110K FULL-TIME, PERMANENT
About the Role
FTA GLOBAL PTY LTD is seeking an experienced Technical Sales Representative to join our Sales division. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys combining technical product knowledge with customer‑facing sales work.
You will provide expert product advice, generate new business, support existing customers, and promote our full range of filtration products and services across industrial, mining, and manufacturing environments. This position requires a confident communicator who can explain technical concepts clearly, identify customer needs, and recommend appropriate solutions. You will represent FTA onsite and offsite, assist with product demonstrations, and support installation and service teams when required.
Key Responsibilities
* Promote, market, and sell FTA's filtration products and services to new and existing customers.
* Provide technical sales support, including advising on product suitability, performance, and application.
* Apply mechanical and product knowledge to interpret customer issues and recommend solutions.
* Conduct onsite customer visits, product demonstrations, and technical discussions.
* Identify new sales opportunities and contribute to business growth across multiple sites.
* Prepare quotes, proposals, and customer documentation with accuracy and timeliness.
* Liaise with suppliers, internal technical teams, and the Operations Manager regarding product enquiries and customer needs.
* Maintain accurate activity tracking, sales records, and reporting requirements.
* Represent FTA at meetings, toolbox talks, training sessions, and industry‑related events.
* Support a positive, safe, and high‑quality work environment in line with WHS and QA requirements.
Qualifications
* Certificate IV or Diploma in a technical/mechanical/industrial field, or equivalent experience.
* Current driver's licence.

* Strong mechanical aptitude; ability to understand technical diagrams and manuals.
* Excellent communication and customer engagement skills.
* Proven sales, negotiation, and relationship‑building ability.
* Strong problem‑solving and analytical thinking.
* Advanced computer and MS Office skills; ERP experience desirable.
* Well‑organised, proactive, able to manage competing priorities.
Experience
* Experience in technical sales, industrial product sales, or customer‑facing technical support.
* Exposure to mining, engineering, mechanical, hydraulic, or manufacturing environments (advantageous).
* Demonstrated ability to identify customer needs and meet sales targets.
