We are seeking a proactive and experienced HSE Advisor & Trainer/Assessor to support our Project operations. This role is critical in ensuring safety, compliance, and workforce capability on-site. You will be responsible for leading safety initiatives, supporting site teams, and delivering training and assessments to maintain the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental performance.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Providing on-the-ground HSE support, advice, and guidance to supervisors and crews.
* Conducting risk assessments, inspections, and incident investigations to ensure compliance with legislative and client requirements.
* Leading toolbox talks, pre-starts, and safety briefings to drive engagement and accountability.
* Delivering training and assessment across mining and civil competencies in line with company and client standards.
* Maintaining accurate HSE and training records, ensuring all staff remain site-compliant and job-ready.
* Working closely with project leadership to implement continuous improvement strategies.
About You:
* Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, codes of practice, and risk management processes.
* Confident communicator who can engage teams at all levels and influence positive safety culture.
* Organised and detail-oriented with the ability to manage competing priorities.
* Practical and adaptable – able to balance compliance with operational efficiency.
Requirements:
* Cert IV HSE
* Cert IV TAE (Training & Assessment)
* Wheel loader, Water Cart, Tip Truck, Excavator and Skid Steer ticket with proven experience
* Current WA Driver's Licence
* Mining or civil site experience
* Ability to pass pre-employment medical & drug/alcohol testing
* All interviews will include a practical skills-based assessment – applicants must be willing to participate
