Key Responsibilities
PelicanCorp is seeking a skilled Business Development Manager to expand its reach, protect communities, and ensure infrastructure reliability.
* Drive Growth: Achieve revenue targets by managing customer accounts and securing new opportunities.
* Strategic Planning: Develop territory and account plans to maximize growth across Local Government, Utilities, and Commercial sectors.
* Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with key decision-makers and industry influencers.
* Account Management: Ensure high customer satisfaction, retention, and increased share of wallet through proactive engagement and support.
* New Business Acquisition: Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities to grow our customer base.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess 5+ years of successful experience in software or SaaS sales, with a proven track record in both account management and new business acquisition. They will also have demonstrated success in high-pressure environments and a deep understanding of business drivers and buying processes in Local Government, Utilities, Telecommunications, and Utility Construction. Exposure to GIS, Utility mapping, Digital Twin, or Utility Survey technologies is preferred. The candidate should have a "hunter" mentality balanced with a strong commitment to customer service and excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
