Job Overview
A Cardiac Technologist is required to perform echocardiographic studies and deliver high-quality patient care within a collaborative healthcare setting.
This role involves working in a part-time, fixed-term capacity for 12 months in the Imaging Department.
Key Responsibilities
* Accurate documentation and archiving of study images on the image archive system.
* Routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.
* Data entry and recording of patient demographics and anomalies in patient notes.
* Participation in clinical trials and research projects.
* Triage and management of request forms and tests.
* Effective communication with wards and units in stressful situations.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
* Diploma of Medical Ultrasound (Cardiac) or equivalent qualification.
* Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent.
* Proficiency in performing echocardiographic studies and reporting findings.
* Excellent communication skills for conveying emergency information to directors of cardiology or cardiologists on call.
* Accuracy in data transcription and interpersonal skills for successful team collaboration.
