Our client is a well-established professional services consultancy that has operated in the Hunter region for decades. They support clients across infrastructure, engineering, construction, and environmental projects, with specialist capabilities including surveying, town planning and spatial services. They are seeking a motivated HSEQ Coordinator to take ownership of the Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) framework across the organisation. This standalone position works closely with the Managing Director, providing the opportunity to influence business-wide safety and quality practices and drive continual improvement of the Integrated Management System.
Responsibilities
* Implement and maintain workplace health and safety processes to meet legislative compliance and enhance safety outcomes.
* Identify risks, recommend solutions, and conduct audits to uphold workplace safety standards.
* Coordinate employee inductions, manage external induction requirements, and maintain the WH&S Training Register.
* Monitor quality programs, conduct inspections, and ensure system performance meets company objectives.
* Assist in the development, monitoring, and improvement of the Integrated Management System, ensuring accurate data reporting and documentation.
Requirements
* Proven experience as an HSEQ Administrator, Coordinator or in a similar role.
* Experience in preparing WH&S documentation, delivering employee inductions and undertaking workplace audits.
* Understanding of ISO 9001 and 45001
* Ability to interact and engage with various internal and external stakeholders
* Ability to identify opportunities for improvement in quality assurance policies and procedures
* Cert IV in WHS, Assessment and Workplace Training or similar fields is desirable.
