AIM Care Support and Services, a leading aged care service provider, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Assistant in Nursing (AIN) to join our team.
Job Responsibilities

* Provide compassionate assistance with daily personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
* Assist elderly residents with mobility needs, including transferring and positioning to ensure comfort and safety.
* Administer medications according to prescribed schedules and document accurately.
* Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and tidying to maintain a clean and organised living environment.
* Engage residents in meaningful activities and conversations to promote mental alertness and emotional well-being.
* Monitor and report changes in residents' health status to nursing staff or supervisors promptly.
* Accompany residents to medical appointments and outings, ensuring safe transportation and support.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided, including daily activities, observations, and any incidents or concerns.
* Foster a respectful and supportive environment that upholds the dignity and independence of each resident.
* Communicate effectively with colleagues, healthcare professionals, and family members to coordinate care plans.
* Respond calmly and promptly to emergency situations, following established protocols to ensure resident safety.
Job Requirements;
* Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Disability, or Home and Community Care).
* First Aid Certificate, including CPR.
* National Police Check clearance.
* Working with Children Check (depending on the role).
* Compassion and empathy in caring for elderly and disabled individuals.
* Ability to assist with personal hygiene, grooming, and daily living activities.
* Proficiency in using mobility aids and assisting with mobility.
* Good communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
* Basic understanding of health and safety regulations in aged care settings.
* Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and shifts.
* Patience, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility towards client care.
* Respect for client dignity, privacy, and cultural diversity.
