Project Manager Engineer
This is a key role in the delivery of capital infrastructure projects associated with our Network Investment Program. The successful candidate will provide project management and engineering technical support to deliver projects in New South Wales, ensuring strict adherence to project cost, safety, and quality objectives.
The role involves managing project interfaces with ARTC operations, corridor managers, external stakeholders, including utility authorities, local councils, community, and state agencies where required. Ensuring compliance with ARTC's Safety Policy and Environmental Policy requirements is also a critical aspect of this role.
About the Role
This position plays a pivotal part in delivering essential upgrades and expansions across the network, supporting increased capacity, reliability, and efficiency. Reporting to a Project Manager, you will assist in projects along the Sydney to Albury section of the ARTC Network, which comprise extensive track rehabilitation works and signalling upgrades to create bi-directional capability along the section.
* Provide project engineering support in the different phases of the project cycle, commencing from project feasibility, design development, contractor procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover of the project.
* Provide reports to the Senior Project Manager on monthly costs, time, and safety performance requirements for components of the project.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess strong communication skills and problem-resolution capabilities working within a project delivery environment. Additionally, your extensive experience in managing and delivering capital works projects, particularly in greenfield or brownfield rail construction, will be highly regarded.
* Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent qualification.
* Eligibility for membership of the Institute of Engineers Australia.
* At least 6 years proven experience in engineering maintenance, construction, or project management in a multi-disciplinary engineering or linear infrastructure environment.
* Experience working in the rail sector delivering projects and/or maintenance works.
* Driver's licence – Class C.
