General Manager, Corporate Strategy and Performance
Provide executive leadership and strategic direction across NT Health's corporate strategy, performance, funding, intergovernmental relations, and analytics functions. The role ensures organisational strategy, planning, and performance frameworks align with Northern Territory and Australian Government priorities and support the delivery of high-quality, sustainable health services for Territorians.
Primary Objective
Provide executive leadership and strategic direction across NT Health's corporate strategy, performance, funding, intergovernmental relations, and analytics functions. The role ensures organisational strategy, planning, and performance frameworks align with Northern Territory and Australian Government priorities and support the delivery of high-quality, sustainable health services for Territorians.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership and Planning
* Lead and manage the Strategy and Performance team, delivering high-quality research, analysis, and strategic advice across corporate strategy, funding, performance, evaluation, and intergovernmental priorities.
* Oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of NT Health's corporate strategy, including strategic and business planning frameworks.
* Lead the development and oversight of the NT Regional Health Service Plan and associated Performance Framework, providing expert guidance on performance diagnostics, activity-based funding, and performance improvement strategies.
Performance, Analytics and Governance
* Lead the delivery of NT Health's data governance, analytics, and performance reporting frameworks, ensuring executive reporting provides actionable insights to support decision-making, forecasting, risk identification, and service improvement.
* Ensure robust performance monitoring and reporting systems are in place to drive organisational accountability, fiscal sustainability, and improved health outcomes.
Intergovernmental Relations and Policy Influence
* Lead NT Health's intergovernmental relations and advocacy activities, including negotiations with the Australian Government and coordination of whole-of-government strategic initiatives.
* Influence national and Territory policy development to strengthen health system performance and improve outcomes for Territorians.
Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration
* Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships across NT Health and the Northern Territory Government to support alignment and delivery of strategic priorities.
* Provide trusted strategic advice to senior executives and key stakeholders on complex organisational and system-wide issues.
Leadership and Culture
* Foster a high-performing, inclusive, and collaborative team culture through effective leadership, capability development, and role modelling NT Health values.
* Ensure compliance with service quality standards, work health and safety policies, and governance requirements.
