An opportunity exists for a talented and enthusiastic Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the team at Yalgoo Nursing Post in the Midwest.
Living in Yalgoo, Western Australia, offers a quiet outback lifestyle rich in history and community spirit. Position Profile
To work as a member of a multidisciplinary team within a Primary Health Care framework in partnership with the community and other organisations. To provide planned, coordinated and comprehensive primary health and emergency care to members of the community.
Responsibilities
To be successful, you will have...
* Knowledge and understanding of the principles of Primary Health Care and Community Development
* Broad nursing experience with recent accident and emergency skills.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a remote Aboriginal Community or cross-cultural setting.
* Effective interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.
* Well-developed problem solving and negotiation skills.
* Pharmacology competency.
* Eligible for / or in possession of a current C or C-A Class drivers licence and the ability and willingness to travel in small aircraft, including overnight stays away from home.
* Current knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements in the areas of Equal Opportunity, Disability Services and Occupational Safety & Health, and how these impact on employment, people management and service delivery.
