Salary: $204,936 - $274,696 (Total Salary Range - $265,607 to $358,114 (pro rata for part-time positions) excluding Attraction and Retention Incentive. Base Salary - $204,936 to $274,696 (pro rata for part-time). The starting salary will be negotiated based on the candidate's experience and expertise. About the Role:

The General Medicine Staff Specialist is responsible for providing clinical care and leadership within the general medicine department of North Canberra Hospital (NCH) and will be guided by current evidence based medical practice, to deliver quality and safe patient centred care. The position holder is expected to operate within the Public Sector Management Act (1994), the ACT Public Service Code of Conduct and the professional requirements specified by the appointee's Specialist College.

Please note prior to commencement successful candidates will be required to:

* Undergo a pre-employment National Police Check.
* Comply with Canberra Health Services Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination policy.
* Comply with Canberra Health Services Credentialing and scope of clinical practice requirements for medical professionals.

Note: There are several permanent, temporary and casual positions, and the full-time salary noted above will be pro-rata.

Total Salary Range -$265,607 to $358,114 (pro rata for part-time positions) excluding Attraction and Retention Incentive

Base Salary-$204,936 to $274,696 (pro rata for part-time). The starting salary will be negotiated based on the candidate's experience and expertise.

Additional Allowances -Includes a Private Practice Scheme Allowance and an on-call allowance (17.4% of base salary plus Private Practice Allowance).

A merit pool may be established from this recruitment process and will be used for the next 12 months to fill various positions both on a temporary and permanent basis with full-time and part-time opportunities available.
