About the team
The Maintenance Team plays a key role in maintaining high quality facilities and specialised equipment, buildings, and office equipment in alignment with the strategic, capital and site strategies.
About the role
Undertake assigned facilities maintenance tasks to support ASC operations at the AIS campus and associated properties. Please note that this includes rostered duties for after-hours emergency maintenance.
In this role, you will:
* Deliver scheduled and reactive maintenance to the AIS campus and associated properties, ensuring all works meet trade and safety standards.
* Participate in an afterhours emergency roster, responding to and rectifying critical faults that threaten operations or safety.
* Conduct asset inspections, identify deficiencies and update the Asset Management System (AIMS) with accurate data and completion reports.
* Provide onsite coordination and safe work supervision of contractors, ensuring compliance with ASC policies and statutory obligations.
* Contribute technical input to minor works scoping, budget estimates and lifecycle planning discussions.
* Inspect and identify works across the site to ensure facilities and services are maintained and operated in accordance with relevant legislative requirements.
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to contractors and suppliers to enable the delivery of works across the site.
* Effectively manage both pro‐active and reactive demands ensuring to appropriately and efficiently triage works.
About you
We are seeking a proactive trade professional who combines hands on maintenance expertise with strong digital reporting skills and a commitment to WHS excellence.
The successful candidate will have:
* Current Australian driver's licence
* Ability to obtain and maintain an active clearance/s to work with children
* Proficiency with iPads, CMMS/BMS platforms and basic Microsoft 365 tools.
* Evidence of—or capacity to obtain—ACT asbestos & silica awareness and working at heights certifications.
The following experience is desirable:
* Recognised trade qualification
* Demonstrated experience in facilities management, maintenance or construction
* Ability to read technical drawings
