The role
We are an inclusive team powering two of the most iconic and loved brands, Kmart and Target.
What you'll be doing
- Create, develop and execute SEO strategy and ongoing program of work
- Develop strategic and innovative SEO initiatives that will help us boost our organic performance online and in-store
- Perform comprehensive audits of our portfolio and gap/threat analysis of competitors
- Create and develop a local SEO strategy through optimising Kmart Group's Google My Business platform to drive incremental foot traffic via SEO
- Conduct research, provide recommendations and proactively share SEO strategies/tactics that will help elevate areas of SEO improvement
- Motivate to develop and engage SEO Specialists within the team
- Be responsible for content strategy and auditing on target.com.au, kmart.com.au and kmart.co.nz to design a high performing SEO Content framework that will provide guidance to cross functional teams
To be successful in this role you'll have:
- 10-15 years' experience in a similar role or field
- Extensive experience in organic content strategy, as well as the technical SEO, paid/organic search synergies, off-site link building, and SEO for CMS/ecommerce platforms
- An experienced people leader of SEO teams across technical, content, and link building
- Experience developing & implementing an SEO strategy for a large ecommerce business
- Hands on technical and content SEO optimisation experience with agency client facing responsibility a strong asset
- Working knowledge of Angular, React, HTML, AJAX CSS, PHP, Java-script, and other valuable media technologies
- Advanced knowledge & experience of Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEO enterprise tools (BrightEdge, SEMRush), SEO A/B testing tools (e.g. Clarity), and Screaming Frog
