Software Development Engineer, Public Sector Customer Engineering
Overview
Software Development Engineer to join the AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) team. AWS SMGS is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid‐market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.
Key Job Responsibilities
* Design, develop, test and deploy well‐architected software.
* Feel a real sense of achievement from completing and delivering projects in less time than you thought possible.
* Get hands‐on with a range of technologies and practice a range of disciplines: back‐end, front‐end, DevOps, machine learning, data science, data architecture.
* Collaborate with customers through full engagements; learn about their business challenges, rapidly design and develop prototypes to solve them, showcase the functionality in demos and see the difference when customers deploy solutions into production environments.
* Work with the latest AWS services and open‐source technologies to build prototypes and always be encouraged to pick the right tools for the job.

Basic Qualifications
* 3+ years of non‐internship qualified software development experience.
* 2+ years of non‐internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of recent and existing systems experience.
* Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
Preferred Qualifications
* 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
* Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
