Nepean Hospital delivers tertiary referral services across emergency care, diagnostic services, gynaecology, paediatrics, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery.

You will join the cancer care team as a Clinical Nurse Specialist specializing in metastatic breast care and will provide information, education and support to breast cancer patients. Responsibilities
- Specialise in metastatic breast care, providing information, education and support to breast cancer patients.
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred care as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Contribute to improved patient outcomes through compassionate, evidence-based nursing practice.
- Collaborate with colleagues to inform and develop patient-focused care pathways.
Qualifications and Experience
- Current registration with AHPRA - Division 1 Registered Nurse.
- Minimum five years full-time equivalent post-qualification experience, with at least three years full-time equivalent experience in breast cancer nursing and postgraduate qualifications in Breast Care Nursing.
- Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills across various mediums and an understanding of the practice development framework.
- Proven ability to implement changes and develop direction in clinical practice using evidence-based research.
- Demonstrated skills in strategic and clinical service planning, including understanding organisational behaviour, change management and cultural change processes.
- Demonstrated skills in clinical teaching, competency in the use of contemporary information systems and experience in developing specialty education programs.
- Clinical expertise in patient-centred consultancy with the ability to work independently.
- A current NSW driver's licence and willingness to use it as required for the position.
