Pharmacy Assistant Job Description
The Pharmacy Assistant will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service to customers. This includes greeting and serving customers, addressing a range of customer service enquiries and routine customer problems.
The ideal candidate will undertake all correct procedures when processing cash, cheque or credit card transactions, maintain awareness of and promote in-store promotions, and supply pharmacy medicines. They will also refer customers to the pharmacist if necessary and provide pharmacy medicines, healthcare information, and self-care practices where trained.
Responsibilities include:
* Delivering quality customer service to pharmacy customers by assisting in determining their needs, providing information on pharmacy products and services, matching product to customer needs, finalizing the sale, and providing after-sales service.
* Providing customer support and resolving customer complaints.
Key skills required for this role include excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team environment, and basic computer skills. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a pharmacy environment and hold a Certificate I or II qualification.
