Our department caters to a broad range of surgical specialties including Orthopedics, ENT, Urology, General Surgery, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Ophthalmology, and Paediatric Surgery. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Perioperative Nurses to join our team.When working with us, you will be expected to:Cover morning and afternoon shifts: 0730 to 2100 Monday – Friday.Be on call one night per week (2100- 0730) and one weekend per month (Friday 2100 – Monday 0730). Some sharing of the weekend call may be possible.Live within 20 minutes of the health service or stay nearby at your own cost when on call. Applicants unable to fulfill the on-call requirements should not apply.All casual employees will be expected to complete all mandatory competencies and a performance appraisal annually. Casuals are employed on an ‘as needed’ basis to backfill leave and extra shifts on days, nights, and weekends. Casual positions do not include regular hours.We are seeking applicants with the following skills, experience, and knowledge:Current Registration with AHPRAPerioperative Post Graduate qualification (Desirable)Experience in Scrub/Scout & Anaesthetics/PACU (Highly Desirable)Ability to fulfill the on-call requirements (Mandatory)Ability to work under pressure, handling multiple tasks simultaneouslyFlexibility and a commitment to a team approach to care deliveryIMPORTANT: Some roles in the healthcare sector require annual influenza vaccination (unless a valid exemption applies).
