As the Nurse Educator within the Drug and Alcohol Service, you will lead the planning, delivery and evaluation of high-quality education programs that strengthen evidence-based, person-centred practice. Working closely with Nurse Unit Managers and multidisciplinary teams, your day-to-day work will include orientating and supporting new and transitioning nurses, delivering in-service education, supervising clinical practice at the point of care, and supporting student placements. As the successful candidate, you will develop engaging, evidence-based learning resources, assess clinical competency, and tailor education to meet individual and service needs. With a strong focus on quality, safety and continuous improvement, you will also support research and innovation and play a key role in building a skilled and confident Drug and Alcohol nursing workforce.

A little about us.

From Helensburgh in the north to North Durras in the south, ISLHD covers an area of 5,687 square kms.
