Contract Network Engineer – Meraki Specialist
6 Months+ | $875/day Inc. | Enterprise Environment | Immediate Start
We're on the lookout for a skilled Network Engineer with extensive Cisco Meraki experience. This is a 6-month initial contract with strong potential for extension, working in a large-scale, hybrid environment with a focus on Meraki network design, deployment, and administration.
Key Responsibilities
* Administer and manage the Cisco Meraki Dashboard, including site onboarding, device configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
* Lead the design, rollout, and optimisation of Meraki SD-WAN, wireless (MR), switching (MS), and security (MX) devices across a multi-site environment.
* Ensure networks are compliant with governance, security standards, and ITIL-aligned processes.
* Monitor, support, and improve Meraki network infrastructure; lead root cause analysis and proactive tuning.
* Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including configuration templates, deployment guides, and diagrams.
* Collaborate with ISP providers and internal teams to manage WAN and LAN infrastructure.
* Participate in disaster recovery planning, documentation, and testing.
* Stay up to date with Meraki developments and networking best practices; maintain relevant certifications (e.g., CMNA, CCNA, CCNP).
Required Experience
* Extensive hands-on experience with the Cisco Meraki platform, including Dashboard configuration, troubleshooting, and remote management.
* Strong knowledge of Meraki product suite: MX, MS, MR, Systems Manager (MDM).
* Solid understanding of WAN infrastructure, fibre/NBN delivery, and ISP liaison.
* Proficiency in routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF.
* Exposure to PABX and VoIP solutions, with the ability to support both cloud and on-premises systems.
* Experience working in large, distributed enterprise environments across multiple sites.
