We are currently seeking an Accountant to join our team at The Reef Hotel Casino, the pre-eminent centre for gaming, entertainment, food and accommodation in Cairns.
The Accountant is responsible for the accounting for the ASX listed Reef Casino Trust, the Responsible Entity, and other related companies.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparation of monthly management reports.
* Preparation of the half-yearly and yearly financial statements.
* Completion of income tax, BAS and FBT returns.
* Balance sheet reconciliations.
* Maintaining the fixed assets register.
* Preparation of budgets and forecasts.
* Assistance with AFSL compliance & compliance plan reporting.
* Liaison with auditors, share registry and bankers.
Criteria
* CA/CPA qualified.
* Experience in a financial accounting role or Big 4 / Mid-Tier background.
* Good understanding and recent practical application of Australian Accounting Standards.
License Requirement
This position requires a Casino Employee Licence. If you are not an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Australia and over the age of 18 years, your application will not be considered for this role.
Appointment is contingent upon final license approval and individual security (probity) clearances from the Queensland Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation.
