JOB DESCRIPTION
We’re excited to welcome a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to our Medical Imaging Team. To be responsible for delivering high-quality, base-level imaging services as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team. In alignment with the goals and standards of Sunshine Coast Health (SCH) and Queensland Health, you will contribute to effective healthcare delivery and support accurate diagnosis and treatment.
You will be part of a team that operates a one service/multi-campus model, bringing together a wide range of imaging specialties. We deliver world-class diagnostic and treatment services through facilities at Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH), Nambour, Gympie, and Caloundra hospitals — each site offering unique imaging services to cater to the community's needs.
Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Apply professional clinical judgement when providing Nuclear Medicine services and seek guidance when principles, procedures, techniques or methods require expansion, adaptation or modification.
- Ensure that all standards of radiation hygiene are adhered to at all times, and that relevant legislation and standards relating to Radiation Health are maintained.
- Participate in quality and service improvement activities in Nuclear Medicine to continually improve patient/client care, including the development of clinical practices, procedures and protocols within the work environment.
Remuneration value up to $53 027 p.a., comprising salary rates: $39.86 - $58.59 p.h. (p/t), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP3) (part-time position available, 30.4 hrs p.f.).
