Hiring local residents in Mackay and nearby suburbs for a cleaner at a mine site.
The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning all communal buildings and facilities on the mine sites, including bathrooms, waste removal, basic grounds keeping and more. The role is physically demanding and requires a good level of fitness, as well as the use of various cleaning machines and equipment.
This is an experienced position, requiring candidates to have 2+ years of experience in mine site cleaning or a relevant role. Applicants must also have their own car to travel to remote locations, live locally, and commit to regular travel to and from site at their own expense.
As a team player with excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills, the ideal candidate will work independently without supervision and be proactive in achieving key performance indicators (KPIs). They will also possess strong experience in Workplace Health and Safety (WPHS) and industry cleaning quality standards, with a Class C Australian Manual Driver's License and reliable transport.
The successful candidate will be based in Central Queensland, where they will be exposed to extreme weather conditions. However, they will be provided with the necessary training and support to excel in this challenging environment.
