About the role
The Chef is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen and ensuring the highest standards in quality of services and food production.
This position is day shifts only, hours vary between ***** and *****.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation and production of food as required
Review stock and ensure rotation and minimum wastage.
Keep all working areas clean and tidy.
Ensure all equipment is cleaned and operational during your shift.
Place stock orders on a rotational basis
What you bring
Certificate lll or lV in commercial cooking or other relevant trade certificate or relevant years experience
Experience in bulk cooking and food preparation
Working knowledge of the HACCP principles food safety standards and regulations
Strong leadership & communication skills
Ability to order stock and maintain budget
Commitment to continuing professional development
A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
